There are many positive ways to support your community by giving back, throughout the Fox Valley this fall. Harvest Moon Madness Fine Arts & Craft Faire
Type of Event: Fair
Date: Nov. 7, 2015, 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: Oshkosh, WI
Help support local schools and charities by shopping at the arts and crafts fair hosted by the Altrusa Club of Oshkosh. Merchandise available includes crafts, books, baked goods and more.
Oshkosh Empty Bowls Soup Sampler
Date: Nov. 15, 2015, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: Oshkosh, WI
A variety of soups will be served from 12 -14 local restaurants with proceeds benefitting the Oshkosh Area Hunger Task Force food pantries. Tickets can be purchased at Becket’s (2 Jackson Street, Oshkosh) or First Congregational Church (137 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh).
Oshkosh Garden Club Scholarship Luncheon
Type of Event: Fundraiser
Date: Nov. 21, 2015, 11:30 a.m.
Location: Oshkosh, WI
The 2015 Oshkosh Garden Club Scholarship Luncheon helps raise money to give two $1000 scholarships to qualified local students each year. Tickets are $25 which includes cocktails and lunch. Entertainment will be provided by the Civil War re-enactment organization, Historical Timekeepers, Inc. including a presentation of “Fashions and Culture of the Civil War Era”.
Turkey Trot
Type of Event: Charitable Run/Walk
Date: Nov. 26, 2015, 8 a.m.
Location: Throughout the Fox Valley!
The annual Turkey Trot is sponsored by Festival Foods and all monetary proceeds go towards providing volunteers for the local YMCA and Boys & Girls Club. Over eight years, the Turkey Trot has donated over $1,290,000. Races available in Appleton, Fond du Lac, Green Bay, Manitowoc, Oshkosh and more!
Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Inc.
Type of Event: Donation/Volunteerism
Date: Ongoing
Location: Oshkosh, WI
Donate your time, talent or money to support services that help keep local families safe in the community. There are plenty of ways to get involved big or small.
Humane Society
Type of Event: Donation/Volunteerism

Location: Throughout the Fox Valley!
Help out at your local humane society by volunteering to walk dogs, donating pet food and supplies or adopting an animal in need. Check out the Fox Valley Humane Association, Oshkosh Area Humane Society or the Bay Area Humane Society for locations on where you can give and volunteer.
Small Business Saturday

Support your local businesses on Small Business Saturday and take advantage of sales and product samples. Founded by American Express in 2010, the event is not limited to any particular location, but rather encourages buying goods from local businesses as a way to give back to your community.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Type of Event: Volunteerism
Date: Ongoing
Location: Throughout the Fox Valley!
Make an example in a child’s life by becoming a big brother or big sister in the Fox Valley region. Serve as a mentor and friend either in the community or at an on-site location.
