Northeastern Wisconsin is jam-packed with exciting events during the summer months and August is no exception. From Beaver Dam to Green Bay there’s plenty of activities and festivals for the whole family. Check out some of the featured events coming up this month:
Mile of Music

Sponsored by Tundraland, this walkable mile of music, crafts, shops, restaurants and bars promises a creative and engaging experience with all profits benefitting the Mile of Music Education Fund and Downtown Appleton, Inc. community projects.
Bellevue Family Kite Fest
Date: Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015
Time: 10:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Location: Willow Creek Park, Bellevue, WI
Price: Free
The Village of Bellevue’s third annual Kite Fest welcomes families to fly a kite with the Wisconsin Kiter’s Club. The first 100 children at the event receive a free kite sponsored by Bellevue Family Dentistry.
Cookie Daze
Date: Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Location: Barlow Park, Ripon, WI
Price: Free
Cookie days is a kid-friendly event that celebrates Ripon community history after making the largest cookie in the world in 1992 measuring 34 feet in diameter with 3.8 million chocolate chips.
Winnebago County Fair
Date: Tuesday, Aug. 4 – Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015
Time: Opens at 5:00 p.m. Aug. 4 and 10:00 a.m. Aug. 5 – Aug. 9
Location: Sunnyview Expo Center, Oshkosh, WI
Price: $10 in advance, $12 at the gate. $5 for senior citizens, free for children three years or younger and free for veterans.
The Winnebago County Fair includes music, fireworks, food, carnival rides, exhibit judging and more.
Wisconsin State Fair
Date: Thursday, Aug. 6 – Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Sunday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. Friday & Saturday, 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. Final Sunday
Location: 640 S. 84th Street, West Allis, WI
Price: $12 for Adults (12+), $7 for Seniors (60+) and Military/Veterans, $6 for Youth (6-11) and Free for Children (5 and under)
Pet animals, listen to live music, enjoy exciting entertainment and eat countless treats (many available on a stick) during the 2015 Wisconsin State Fair.
Maritime on Madison
Date: Friday Aug. 7 – Saturday 8, 2015
Time: Individual festival times vary, most events 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Location: Madison Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, WI
Price: Free except for Kitty O’Reillys Beer Festival (ticket prices vary)
Maritime on Madison includes the 25th Annual Classic & Wooden Boat Festival, Kitty O’Reillys Beer Festival, live music by the Mad Cats, raffles, artwork showcases, a scavenger hunt, entertainment for the kids and more.
2015 Annual Hamburger Festival
Date: Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015

Location: Seymour, WI (Specific events on Rock Ledge School Grounds and Depot Street/Downtown)
Price: $3.00 in advance, $5.00 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free
Seymour’s 27th annual burger fest includes a hot air balloon rally, live music, burger eating contest, car show, ketchup slide and the “World’s Largest Hamburger Parade.” The theme for this year’s annual hamburger festival is “Charlie and His Hamburger Factory.”
Milwaukee Irish Fest

Mexican Fiesta

Music, contests, the Fiesta Run & Walk, excellent Mexican fare, soccer tournament and an art gallery are all part of this year’s Mexican Fiesta celebrating Mexican culture and community.

Elkhart Lake’s 4 mile 14-turn road circuit will feature brilliant future NASCAR stars testing their skills. Fan activities, camping, big screens and more will also be available to fans.
