Supporting Local Music and Art Programs for Children in Need

As part of Tundraland’s continued effort to support our local community, this October we will be sponsoring the Making Noise tour featuring a local duo Featherwolf. This 10,000-mile, 40-day tour aims to raise a dollar a mile, starting in Chicago, going across the country, and ending in Appleton, WI. The $10,000 will be going towards the Hopes and Dreams Foundation of Wisconsin to benefit the children of the Fox Cities by funding music and art programs for children in need.

Sam Luna of Featherwolf feels very passionately about providing children the opportunity to grow in the areas they’re passionate in. “If you’re a kid and you believe you have an aptitude in music or art, but you’re told you can’t pursue it because you can’t afford it, it teaches you to give up on your dreams. We want to teach kids to believe in themselves by providing them the opportunity to pursue their dreams, giving them a brighter future.”

At each of Featherwolf’s 25 stops on the Making Noise tour, they aim to bring awareness to the lack of access to art and music for children in need. Luna says, “This is an issue in all communities, and we want to help local businesses be a part in solving it.”

Tundraland is excited to sponsor Featherwolf in their efforts. Come out to their final show in Appleton to help them meet their $10,000 goal! The show will be held in Outdoor Edge on October 16th, 2016. Doors open at 6 pm and music starts at 6:30 with several special guest opening acts.
