The deck that we built for Jane and Tim S. from Appleton, Wisconsin, proves that nearly every homeowner can add a deck to their outdoor space! Even though their back doors weren’t tremendously high from the ground, we were able to install a low deck that extends seamlessly from their home. As you can see from the ‘after’ picture, Jane and Tim opted for a more open concept, having a wide set of stairs descending from their deck to the ground and a limited amount of railings.
