As the lead sponsor of Mile 3, this year’s Mile of Music festival in Appleton, we are thrilled to announce that this year’s “Singing in the Shower” event was the most successful one yet! Tundraland President Brian Gottlieb shares his take:

“It was a busy festival for our Tundraland team and we had a great time meeting the thousands of music fans who attended from Wisconsin and all over the country,” said Gottlieb. “One of our more prideful moments was in easily surpassing the 250 shower-singers goal, which secured the music scholarship for a local student, and then achieving the 400 mark so that we can do a bathroom remodel for a local family that deserves our support.”

After an incredible weekend of meeting many of the 50,000+ festival-goers and jamming out to awesome live music, we’re thankful to be part of such an amazing event and even more amazing community!

Youth Music Scholarship Program

Remaining true to our promise, Tundraland will be providing a year-long music scholarship to an area youth through Heid Music! Last year, we were able to provide a year of music lessons to local student Jordan Oudenhoven, who after just nine months of lessons performed at this year’s festival in front of a live audience at Houdini Plaza. It was truly rewarding to see him perform, and we can’t wait to give the gift of music to another deserving young musician again this year!

Any local students (18 and under) interested in applying for the scholarship can do so by sending a short email (100 words or less) to Tundraland President Brian Gottlieb (music@tundraland.com) that answers the following question: “Why do you think you should be selected for this scholarship?” by September 18, 2015.

Bathroom Remodel for Local Family

Providing music lessons to a local youth is just the beginning; we’re thrilled to be able to also provide a free bathroom remodel project to a deserving family in the Fox Valley area! This was a new initiative for us at this year’s festival, and we’re so thrilled to help our community in this way. The team at Tundraland can’t wait to beautify the home of a local family deserving of our services. We have chosen the family we will be working with, stay tuned for updates and information on this project!

Tundraland’s Ongoing Commitment to Northeast Wisconsin
