On Friday, May 19th, 2017 Denielle and Aaron Pagel thought they were in for an ordinary Friday. To their surprise, their day would be anything but that. At Tundraland, our company wide initiative Tundraland Cares focuses on making a positive impact in the lives of deserving individuals just like the Pagel family and we believe in creating extraordinary moments for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice...our veterans!

Denielle and Aaron both served in the Iraq War and currently reside in Madison, Wisconsin with their two children. In the middle of multiple home remodeling projects, they had become overwhelmed with what project to tackle next and were faced the financial burdens that can come with even the most basic home updates. We wanted to ease that financial burden by providing them with a custom bath remodel valued at $10,000 as a way to thank them for their service.

This day was one we wanted to make truly unforgettable, so we had a few more surprises lined up. Aaron and Denielle were wined and dined at Prairie House Food & Spirits in Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin before their wine tour and tasting at Wollersheim Winery. Following the winery, a 90-minute massage awaited the both of them at Cloud Nine Salon & Spa. After relaxing at the spa, Denielle and Aaron were taken to the Madison BBQ Festival where a popular country cover band was set to take the stage. Before the music began, Denielle and Aaron were brought on stage and surprised with a $10,000 check for their bath remodel, courtesy of Tundraland Home Improvements.

Thank you to all who have served and are serving to protect our freedoms. For more stories on other Tundraland Cares initiatives, please visit www.tundraland.com/cares
